Run! Run! Run!

Just getting in from a rather adventurous morning!

Today, here in New York, the 2010 ING New York Marathon is currently being ran, and I just so happen to live a stone's throw from the 15k mark of the marathon. As most who know me know, I was an amateur competitive runner in cross country (from the ages of 12 to 17) and track & field (from the age of 7 to 21). I was considered a "middle distance" specialist (my race was the 800m), so I wasn't quick nor had a ridiculous amount of endurance but was a combo of both. I did and still don't care for long distance runs. This is a major reason why I tip my hat off to the marathoners who were on the road or currently still making there way to Central Park. They are doing this in 47 degree weather that feels a bit chiller with the winds. Me+ Cold weather + over 26 miles= Not me and that!
